On 1 November 1950, Pope Pius XII proclaimed the dogma of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in the Glory of God in St. Peter’s Square in Rome.
Among a group of pilgrims present in St. Peter’s Square, some perceive the call for the existence in the world of communities of silent adoration living in reference to what the Mother of God lives, lifted up in body and soul in the Glory of the Most Holy Trinity, hidden for centuries with Christ in God [bubble link] (cf. Col 3, 3).
In response to this call, from the community bringing together Sister Marie and the First Sisters, the Monastic Family of Bethlehem, of the Assumption of the Virgin, and of St. Bruno is born 2 February 1951. The Foundation Begins in a small village of France in Burgundy, Chamvres.
